What are your prices?

Prices depend on walk frequency, number of dogs, length of walk, and add-ons per service. The more you want, the more expensive it is. See our Services tab for more details or drop us a line to ask for specifics.

Do you service my area?

bwd services from East of the 416 out by Bayshore to everything West of the 417 & Aviation Parkway, the whole area that is North of Hunt Club. We do not go to Barrhaven, Orleans, Gatineau, Manotick, Kanata, Gloucester, Aylmer, Almonte, Carleton Place, or any other suburb of Ottawa outside the primary capitol region and have no plans to expand in the future. 

Do you provide overnight care?

For bwd clients, we do provide the option of sending your dog to a walker's home while you go on vacation. We do not provide this service for the general public. However, we do provide evening walking services. Last appointments begin at 20h00.

Can I book multiple walks in a day?

Yes! With our app, you can book as frequently or as seldom as you would like! There is a $35 reactivation fee for taking more than 21 days between service requests.

Can I have the same walker every time I book a walk?

It is more likely that you are assigned a regular walker if you request a set schedule or sign up for our Daily Blockwalks. 

New dogs are always walked by Supervisors before we can assign your dog a regular walker. This helps us iron out any kinks and make sure that the information gathered from you at the Meet & Greet is up to date for flawless service. Once your doggo graduates from this probationary period, they can meet new human friends!

I'm a shift worker. Can you still help me?

Absolutely. We offer the flexibility, reliability, and accountability that you need. Many of our clients are Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, Firefighters, Dispatchers, Bartenders, etc. 

For Book As You Go clients, only lockbox/keysafe or keyless entry is accepted.

Will you feed my dog if I need you to?

Yes. There are different add-ons that you can tack on to any service that include feeding, meds or special requests. We go over these and prices at the Meet & Greet.

How do I pay?

We invoice on the 1st day of the month for all of the services used for the previous month. We allow for two weeks grace before we charge a late payment fee. We currently accept e-transfers, cheques, cash, and credit cards. We do not accept prepayment.

How far in advance do I need to book a walk?

Book As You Go clients can request walks anytime. The more notice that is given to us, the more likely we can accommodate your preferred timeblock, walker preference, and price. For requests within a 24 hour window, we charge a 50% late booking surcharge.

Can I give you my keys?


In extremely special circumstances where you live in a building without a front desk concierge and a lockbox/kaysafe or keyless entry is not permitted by your building regulations, bwd will discuss alternate options in person at a Meet & Greet and we can find a solution together. Problem solving FTW!

bwd requires a lockbox, keysafe or a keycode for all Book As You Go services where you foresee needing to book services in the evenings, on weekends, or outside of your set schedule in any way.

Will you walk my pitbull?

We treat all breeds the same. Your dog will be evaluated just like all the others and we'll decide together if we're the right fit.

Can I suspend services?

If you would like to hold your time slot with bwd, that is possible for a 50% regular service rate. Although, depending on how long you suspend service, your regular walker may change (we like to promote people).  

Book As You Go clients cannot suspend services.

Can I reactivate if I cancel service?

If you cancel service and need to sign up again, that's okay too, no new Meet & Greet required. 

If the cancellation was longer than 21 days, you be charged a $35 reactivation fee and your dog may be reassessed by a Supervisor on their first walk. That last bit is case-by-case and is more likely if the cancellation was longer than three months.

Are you open 365 days a year?


bwd cancels service by default on all Statutory Holidays. If you want service on a Holiday, you'll need to submit a request in the app.

We are closed-no-service-at-all-closed on Canada Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.

We do not provide service after 4PM on St. Patrick's Day or New Year's Eve.

We do not provide service before 11AM on Remembrance Day, Weekends or the Statutory Holidays that we are open.
